"The box the cooler was shipped in was severely damaged upon arrival and had lots of excess packing tape just to hold it together. It honestly looked like it had been shipped that way directly from Engel (which I found hard to believe…at first) Upon opening the box with the cooler still in it’s plastic it was easy to see a 6 inch hole in the lid and multiple fractures down one side. These were not cosmetic defects—this thing wouldn’t even have held water, which is sort of a requisite for a bait cooler. I provided photo documentation to Engel’s customer service department immediately that day. After over three weeks of calls and emails and multiple assurances they would “make it right,” including paying the return shipping, I ended up out $53 just to ship the thing back which they would not reimburse even though I followed all their directions and met every deadline. I’ve never experienced such a lack of customer service or integrity from a company in my life. I cannot remotely recommend any purchase from Engel Coolers. Tight lines!"

"They got it right with this one! I used it for the first time today on a 10 hour day on the water down in Coastal Georgia. I ran it the whole time. The water in cooler stayed cool the entire day. It was in the high 80's today too. The net inside the cooler is one of the best ideas! Instead of fishing around for minnows or shrimp, you just simply lift the net out of the water and grab a tasty specimen of your choosing. I used it on my Gheenoe 15'4 l. Way better than the old bucket I had before rigged with an aerator wired to the battery which got in the way, and also meant I couldn't move it. This cooler fixed all the issues I had with keeping bait alive in my gheenoe!"

"First trip out grabbed live shrimp in the evening before tackle store closed. Used the shrimp the next day in the morning trip. All 3 dozen shrimp were alive and perky with a frozen bottle of water in the cooler. Perfect start to hopefully a long term fishing equipment for our family. -"
