Description

Engel is proud to announce it has added an exciting new model to its range of portable fridge-freezers, the MT35 Platinum Series. This model is the new 34 quart fridge-freezer, with added features and fan. This new model also includes the user friendly digital control with LED display, as featured in the Australian 50th Anniversary model, along with built in battery monitor. We have designed this new model in the industry standard Engel 35 cabinet to ensure its compatibility with the current range of MT35 accessories. Supplied with both cords, the 12 volt cord that plugs straight into your vehicle's adapter socket and the 120 volt lead with three pin house plug. Auto switching as standard removes the need for the user to switch power sources manually. All Engel fridge-freezers feature the Engel "Swing Motor" Compressor. Highly efficient, it typically draws around 1 to 2 Amps per hour (check the specs below), about 40% less than a traditional compressor. Engel fridge/freezers run on battery power, 12/24V DC, or 110/120V AC. So whether you're on the road, on the water or safe at home, you can use your Engel to make life a little easier.

"So far so good, the unit looks real well and it fit. That was my main concern. Have not used it yet. I have turned it on and make sure it freezes will let you know in October. THANKS"

    MT 35

"Received my MT 35 on 7/5/25. Zero issues with delivery or the Engel. I’ve used it on the back patio for a drinks cooler and it has worked superbly. I need a unit that would fit under the tonneau cover of my Honda Ridgeline, and this one does. I’ve operated it with solar generators with solar panels also. Getting ready for a road trip with it in the back of the Ridgeline running on a solar generator. Thank you Engel for a great piece of equipment. Yes I’d recommend it and hope buyers will look past the price and realize they are getting something that they will have to hand down to someone else."

    My second Engel. . .

"Bought my first MT-35 in 2003 or 04, ran flawlessly for 17 or 18 years and sold with my teardrop in 2022. I'm sure it is still running, I never unplugged it. It made many Death Valley trips with a small solar panel and it's own battery, only possible with it's low draw, of 2. 3 amps. This is my second Engel, it is the same model as the first, and I know what to expect. . . Flawless reliability. A great product. I did my homework years ago and bought an Engel. There are many to chose from now, 20 years later and I bought another Engel. Dave Lyons"

    Initial Shakedown MT35

"Overall impressed. Initial shakedown trip with the fridge was great. Though temps were 35 - 70 with minimal power usage, I was still happy with the performance. Food kept at 34 degF, dry, frozen items at bottom were still frosty (partially frozen). Best was pulling something out that wasn't wet and needing extra packaging. Could hear the compressor operating, even in the next tent over but only during dead quiet periods. Compared to another brand that I bought at same time, the noise level is about the same, but without a rattling or higher pitch. Overall operation of the controls, lid, light worked great. Very easy to operate."

21 Years old, vetran of 14 Rubicon Jeep Jamboree's

"What can I say absolutely no problems for 21 years. Keeps things at the temp YOU want. No more wet stuff ever. Plug it in to 120AC while packing for trips then plug it into cigarette socket, away you go. Jeep Deep cycle battery runs it for 4 days straight before I chicken out and charge it. My buddy bought one and 5 days out in Nevada Desert everyone else is looking for Ice and we're eating Ben and Jerry's cookies and cream for dessert. Only Ice we carry is for cocktails. I think of all the Ice and damaged coolers I would have had to buy over the years and its paid for itself at least 3 times over. When I bought mine the Aussies rated them by how many Beer cans they hold. I bought the 35 with insulated cover and have never looked back accept to reach over the seat and take out an Ice cold one. Then pop in a warm one to replace the one I took out."
