This model is the new 45 quart combination fridge-freezer, with added features and fan. This new model also includes the user friendly digital control with LED display, as featured in the Australian 50th Anniversary model, along with built in battery monitor. We have designed this new model in the industry standard Engel 45 cabinet to ensure its compatibility with the current range of MT45 accessories. Supplied with both cords, the 12 volt cord that plugs straight into your vehicle's adapter socket and the 120 volt lead with three pin house plug. Auto switching as standard removes the need for the user to switch power sources manually. All Engel fridge-freezers feature the Engel "Swing Motor" Compressor. Highly efficient, it typically draws around 1 to 2 Amps per hour (check the specs below), about 40% less than a traditional compressor. Engel fridge/freezers run on battery power, 12/24V DC, or 110/120V AC. So whether you're on the road, on the water or safe at home, you can use your Engel to make life a little easier.

"Had to do a slight adjustment of the screws for the top lid since I could see the interior lighting with the lid closed. Would just suggest to the company that be double checked before passing quality inspection. Otherwise happy with the product so far!"

"The Engel MT45 works flawlessly however the divider to separate the freezer from the fridge does not appear to be made very well. The foam in between the 2 plastic plates is inconsistent causing the plastic plates to be pushed apart in some areas vs others."

"I went back and forth with myself if I should get the combination fridge/freezer unit or just the single zone unit. The increased height with the MT45 series was a consideration as well (20" tall) but I am so glad I went with this unit. I'm using an Ecoflow Delta 2 when off grid and the MT45 Combo is incredibly efficient on the power draw, unbelievably so! The ability to easily determine which compartment, fridge or freezer, be the larger of the two is genius. Thank you for making a quality product that looks, feels, and performs like a winner, I have no doubt why Engel products consistently last for decades."

"5 stars means everything is as close to perfect as humanly possible. This fridge/freezer is working exactly as designed/described. However, a couple things are lacking. 1. The instruction manual says the DC should be fused at 10 amps. The DC Hardwire Kit has an inline 15 amp fuse. 2. The bolt on handles are of superb quality, however the holes drilled for the bolts are oversized by a considerable margin. I’m concerned the handles may pull over the bolt heads if any serious stress is applied. I would think tight tolerances and good fit would be in order for a $1,000 piece of equipment. Lastly, the cover latch is slightly out of alignment. I have to give it a little nudge to affect proper alignment. I think whoever did the handles also did the latch. Additionally, I would have two latches for redundancy. Imagine a fully loaded fridge getting tipped over. Will one latch ensure my food doesn’t go flying? Better safe than sorry; put in a second latch, please. Yes, these are very minor things that reflect hugely on a person’s first impression. I want Engel to be the very best that is possible. My comments are in that spirit."
