Vibrates like an electric toothbrush on a tile floor

"Although it stays at negative 13 Celsius it still took 2 days to freeze some tuna in the top of it, when loaded heavy. I think it's pretty stupid that I constantly have to do a conversion to figure out what temperature it is and I can't select Fahrenheit. The biggest letdown is that after installing this on the back of our RV, it vibrates so much that it wakes us up at night. If I would have known it was going to make so much racket and vibrate the frame of my trailer so much I would have gone with a cheaper Chinese option. Although messages were left and emails were sent, none were returned to discuss the issue. The service before the sale was great but the service after the sale does not exist it seems. The overall quality seems good but the way these compressors vibrate really puts a damper on them. If you can't handle the thing vibrating look elsewhere. I wish I had."

A+ fridge! Shipping Nightmare!

"Excellent product! Solid. Durable. Stays cold. Compressor is quite and COLD ... dial set to 4 took the temp below 32F. Massive interior. I would definitely buy another MT80 ***HOWEVER ...*** BEWARE: Engel assumes you have a forklift or loading dock! FedEx freight said "no lift gate. Engel won't pay for it" so I went to a local trucking company to "borrow" their loading dock on the specified day. Nope. FedEx tractor trailer shows up in my neighborhood. Thankfully the shortie trailer had a lift gate afterall and the pallet came off OK. But what a Laurel & Hardy exercise. For $250 shipping, I expect more from a USA company. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH SHIPPING."

"The fridge has an impressive motor and it's quite powerful. However the lid endured scrapes in the mere process of moving it into the back of my van! The latches are small and sharp. The biggest complaint is that the plug is located in the front(!?!?) of the fridge instead of the side. This makes it difficult to orient it in the best position for plugging in power while in the back of my van."

"2 years in constant operation and I still love it!!! I did install a solar panel and an extra battery dedicated to the fridge - great set up - never have to risk having a dead battery at a trailhead and always come back to cold or frozen food / beverages. 100% thrilled with Engel!!"
