"I am using it behind the seat in my truck and I can keep drinks and food SAFE from the heat. This is my second vehicle with this cooler, first one 2 yrs old running great. First one is powered by solar panels and a stand alone battery in the bed camper and is always cold. I can surprise kids with Ice cream after a long trip, I have been surprising myself too :), on a bad note IT WILL FREEZE YOUR BEER so please be mindful of its capabilities."

"I had an older, smaller version of the MD14 and loved it. Several years ago, the motor went out and when I found out I could have it replaced, I put it up in storage for the future and bought a 27 for my camper van. Sold the camper, went back to a car and hauled out the older version, called Engel and sent it to them. When the part that was needed to fix it couldn’t be found in their 14,000 sq. Ft warehouse, they offered to replace it for me with a BRAND NEW MD14 fridge freezer! At no cost other than what I had paid to have my old one rebuilt. Of course I said YES! And Thank You very much. It has been a long time since I’ve had such good customer service. Thank you, Paul."

"We like the freezer, but we live on a boat in Maimi, Fl and this a high heat and humidity environment, 90 plus degrees for both. It runs at maximum, never shuts off. We added a towel and blanket for more insulation and to collect the condensation that collects on the top and sides of the unit. This is the only reason for the 4 stars. With that being said, we have ice cream."
